Story line:

In 1971, the east Pakistan is fighting for its freedom.  lots of refuges have seek their shelter on Indian border. West Pakistan do not want to loose its possession on east Pakistan. To make sure this purpose, they need to provide supplies through water area in east Pakistan which is passing through bay of Bengal. But to succeed in this plan, they need to put fight against Indian Navy. So they launch their best submarine Ghazi to destroy Indian Navy possession at bay of Bengal.  What follows next is plot of the movie.

Performances:

Fictional war story with InoPak war subject, credit goes to writer. He make sure you are there till last scene to enjoy the victory. Acting performances are good.  Support team has very few moments to act but they carry the intensity.  Credit to director for making time travel to 1971. The submarine technology, the attitude of Navy and spirit of soldier is shown very well.

My view:

Movie is really well, under water fighting without navigation and radar system is something new. Characters have really took the movie to another level.

Jolly LLB2 Review

Standard

Story line:

Jolly, an assistant lawyer at kanpur, finds himself against system and fighting to reveal mystery of an encounter. How he achieve & what are the problem he face is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Total credit needs to give to story writter. Akhaykumar as Jolly, too good acting.  Annu Kappor & Saurabh Shukla even better. Punches, expression and acting – on new level of movie. Don’t expect much from music but its not breaking rhythm. Director has tried to provide message at each corner of  movie.

My view:

Akhaykumar vs Annu Kappor vs Saurabh Shukla – too good fight – total credit to them as well as the story writer.

Kung Fu Yoga Review

Story line:

Jack (Jackie chan), a world-renowned archaeology professor, and his team are asked to find a lost ancient Indian treasure of Magadh Samrajya by Indian archaelogist Ashmita. But Randall (Sonu Sood), the last ancestor who ruled Magadh, is also after this treasure.  Who & how will get the treasure is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

The story of treasure hunting with adventure and humor is rare to find but we got one more.  Performances are exceptionally well played. Only one song in the end of the movie but looks very good. The cinematographer has showed each and every scene so beautiful, that it feels like you are originally there. The beauty of china, Dubai and India is presented very well.  Director has hold no back in action, comedy or drama.

My view:

Jackie Chan returns with another full entertaining action pack movie. The first half has more power then the later but the movie entertains you till last.

La La Land Review

Standard

Story line:

Mia (Emma Stone), an aspiring actress, and Sebastian (Ryan Gosling), a dedicated jazz musician crossed each others path until they realize there is connection between them. They get along and they seems to get their path. But success crosses the relationship they have and they need to choose one. What will they choose is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

A musical drama, written so well. Performed so well and you won’t feel if it continued for hour long. The director brings you to fantasy world of hope, love & music in a city known for destroying hopes and breaking hearts.

My view:

From the beginning, you will just flow with movie. I am not happy at all with the end. May be I like the happy ending more than true love.

Coffee with D Review

Standard

Story line:

Arnab (Sunil Grover) a prime time controversial reporter,  goes against D to get his interview. He made humiliated videos of D and make them viral on social media. When D sees them, he made a plan to kill him on live television. What will happen when Arnab goes against D on face to face? The trill is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Though the trailer gives the hint, story has very hidden surprises. I did’t expected the performances to be such spectacular. But everyone has contributed so well, through out the movie and kept the rhythm.  Making a film on humiliation of don needs guts and director has shown it till end and he made pure justice to the movie.

My view:

Too good, total entertainment from the team. Don’t expect much on music department, except that the movie is solid in all departments.

Passengers Review

Standard

Story line:

On a routine journey through space to a new home, a passenger Jim (Chris Pratt) , sleeping in suspended animation, was awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim can’t survive alone by himself he awakened Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) , another passenger on the ship. They begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction. until they discover the ship is in grave danger.  Will they able to save the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers? How? the answers to these questions is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Story has a unique thought. Total credit to story writer. As for the lonely passengers, the performances are too good. Even a small part from Laurence Fishburne, has made his impact. You will be able to feel the universe on some moment and that’s what director has offered you.

My view:

Sit back, relax and enjoy a space travel with lots of drama, lies and a mission on hand (why only single mission?).

Arrival Review

Standard

Story line:

Louise Banks, (Amy Adams), a lecturer at a university, lives her life remembering her daughter, who dies during adolescence from cancer. But everything changed when twelve extraterrestrial spacecraft appear across the planet. U.S. Army Colonel Weber asks her to join a team, with physicist Ian Donnelly (Jeremy Renner), to decipher their language and find out why they have come to Earth. How they approach to them and learn their intention is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Movie is based on the 1998 short story “Story of Your Life” by Ted Chiang.  As for the performance part, there is much for the expression then dialogues. Script writing is not that much support for the movie. As for the direction, the motive of the movie is not so solid.

My view:

The story is stretched too long. There are some moments when you feel excited but rest of the movie bores you to death.
