Suicide Squad Review

Storyline:

In the aftermath of Superman’s death, as depicted in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, intelligence operative Amanda Waller assembles Task Force X, a team of dangerous criminals—former psychiatrist Harley Quinn(Margot Robbie); elite hit man Deadshot (Will Smith); pyrokinetic ex-gangster El Diablo; opportunistic thief Captain Boomerang; monstrous cannibal Killer Croc; and specialized assassin Slipknot—at Belle Reve Penitentiary and places them under command of Colonel Rick Flag, to be used as disposable assets in high-risk missions for the United States government. Each member has a small bomb implanted in their neck, designed to detonate should any member rebel or try to escape.

One of Waller’s intended recruits is Flag’s girlfriend, Dr. June Moone, a former archaeologist who is possessed by a witch-goddess known as “Enchantress” after touching a cursed idol. Enchantress quickly turns on everyone, deciding to eradicate mankind for imprisoning her. She besieges Midway City with a horde of monsters, begins creating a weapon, and summons her brother Incubus to assist her. Waller then deploys the squad to a mission to save a person in the city. Who is this person? Will squad be able to complete the task? The answer to this question is plot of the movie.

Performances:

The intention of the writer was to server something different. And he is able to deliver it at very high level.  The performances of Margot and Will got more effectiveness due to the focus given to them but others are not that much effective. Enchantress is not able to create the effect of a villain who wants to destroy world which you can see in DC movie villains. The role of the joker is very short but effective. The director has added lots of action scenes but comparing to marvel they look very less effective.

My view:

When the intro is complete, 30% of the movie was over. The movie isn’t able to take off at any point. The joker lacks intensity played by Heath. Jokers emotion are something makes his role against. if you like the nonstop action and like DC characters, you will enjoy the movie.
