Dishoom Review

Story line:

Viraj sharma, a famous Indian cricket player, goes missing before final against Pakistan in a tournament in gulf country. Kabir (John), special task force officer from India and a junior office from arab country Junaid (Varun) are given task to find Viraj. Will they be able to get Viraj is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Story has full masala in it. Once again John with special officer role. But Varun has something different in his patch. As the villain, Akshay Khanna played a good role. Not much work for Jacqueline. But she played her role good. Movie is shoot throughout outside and has beautiful cinematography overall. Music is good to hear specially “Sau tarah ke”.

My view:

The movie is entertaining. The special appearance are the best time though. The director has very beautifully covered the suspense drama.

Kabali Review

Standard

Story line:

A don Kabali, released from jail after spending 25 years in prison on a false charge of starting a massacre at a local Hindu temple that killed many, including his wife Kumudha (Radhika Apte). how he takes his revenge and found his remaining family is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

Story has twist, turns, style and action. Very good cinematography through out the movie. Songs are making movie slow. Acting performances are very good. Action sequence are very well pictured.

My view:

A young Rajni vs old Rajni, both forms have made their impact. the villain lacks action sequence. Songs are different even a wrap song praising Rajni. Too many characters and their unwanted appearances lengthen movie.

Madaari Review

Story Line:

Nirmal (Irfan) kidnaps home minister’s son. Why? what happens next? is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

The idea is very simple but movie has its power in dialogues. Credit to director for making such bold attempt. Acting performances are superb. Only single song ‘masoom sa’, soul of the movie.

My View:

After ‘A Wednesday’, this is the second movie that centers common man of India. And this is not less than the first one. Only negative point is movie is very slow. Irfan has proved his acting once again.

Sultan Review

Standard

Story line:

Sultan ali khan (salman khan) is a hariyanvi boy, who falls in love with hariyanvi wrestler girl Arfa (anushka). But to prove himself worthy of her, he lose himself. The journey of sultaan to get himself back is plot of the movie.

Performances:

The story has power. Full credit to story writer Ali Abbas Zafar. Performances are very good. Salman and anushka have given their 110 %. Music is life of the movie leading by title track. Direction is pretty focused.

Myview:

When you watch the movie, if you are not thinking much, it will hold you tight till end. but if you are applying logic in the movie, the 170 minutes are too long to end the movie. When ever the movie get some speed it break down by some emotion or song. But the never ending fight sequence and acting performances make you on your toe till the end.

Independence Day: Resurgence Review

Standard

Story line:

July 4, 1996 humans have beaten aliens. Human knows they will return. With the help of each other and alien technology they have make peace worldwide and prepare themselves for next attack. But so do the aliens have. They have created ship size of arctic ocean and came back to take earths iron after 20 years. Will humans be able to stop them or will aliens won these time? the answer of this question is plot of the movie.

Performances:

Story is simple, short and sweet. But the director has pulled it so long that it become the second part. We really miss the actors too. 20 years of their age difference is unbelievably noticed in the movie except in those who were old in first part. They have more energy and humor. The punches might make you laugh some where. Fighting scenes are less realistic.

My view:

Its not 20 years, it looks much more. The film is lacking energy in 75% part. Rest 25% part is wow. This is what we came to see. The ending might disappoint you. It might be that my expectations were too much from this movie.

Now You See Me 2 Review

Standard

Story line:

After fleeing from a stage show, the Horsemen (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson) find themselves in more trouble in Macau, China. Devious tech wizard Walter Mabry (Daniel Radcliffe) forces the infamous magicians to steal a powerful chip that can control all of the world’s computers. Meanwhile, FBI agent Dylan Rhodes (Mark Ruffalo) identity is disclosed and he found that Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman), the man he blames for the death of his father, is the only way to save the horseman. Will horseman be able to save themselves? Will Dylan be able to save horseman? Is that a trick of Thaddeus Bradley or he help Dylan to save horseman? The answers to these question is plot of the movie.

Performances:

Its very hard to keep the story simple thought that complicated that everything reveals at the grand finale. But the story writer has done his work very well. Special job done by director that each magic trick is captured so smoothly yet so clean. Performances are really good.

My view:

Finally got chance to see the second part of magic. What I like, everything story, performances and of-course the magic tricks. What I don’t like I feel same as I feel after first part unable to capture big picture or the story behind the stage. But there were few times were your breath will be in your mouth and neither you can swallow it nor take it out.
