Udta Punjab Review

Story line:

The life of a rock star Tommy Singh (Shahid Kapoor), a migrant laborer Pinky(Alia Bhatt), a doctor Preet Sahani (Kareena Kapoor) and a policeman Sartaj Singh (Diljit Dosanjh) is different but all are connected with drugs. How they connect with drugs, what is effect of drugs in their life and how they overcome from it is the plot of the movie.

Performances:

A different but strong story writing. Very good acting performances. The supporting cast have also done superb job. Music is mix with party songs and some beautiful soul songs leading with title track ‘ud-daa punjab’. Credit to director for choosing such bold subject knowing this is becoming current India’s major issue. He is able to deliver the message that how drugs can ruin lives.

My view:

The start of the first scene of how drugs cross the border is unimaginative. From there onward you just on your toes for what will happen next. The movie is two paced but the transaction between these two is very smooth, mostly unnoticed. Music is very good. You can see that each lead character has done excellent in their roles even though its not love story which is there

Story line:

Suraj (Randeep Hooda) is a part-time boxer in Malaysia. Jenny (Kajal Aggarwal) is a blind girl, on meeting whom Suraj falls in love with. When he comes to know that the reason for her blindness is he himself, he decides to have her operated. Will he be able to give her new eyes? What will happen once she knows that he is behind her life tragedy? The answer to these questions is plot of the movie.

Performances:

A strong story with very good humor and sensitivity. Very good acting performances. Very beautiful music leading with ‘jeena marna’. Very well pictured love story.

My View:

First of all heads off to director that he was so careful that he didn’t make fun (even by mistake) of blind people or boxer. Still he has pictured liveliness of blind people, their pain and the how boxing people are surviving. The movie is becomes slow sometimes but beautiful performances hold you tight throughout.

Story line:

John (Amitabh Bachchan) has lost her grand child in a kidnapping case 8 years ago. Police has put the case on hold but john is trying to solve case by himself. Now the same kind of kidnapping case occurs. A cop (Vidya Balan), a priest (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) investigate a kidnapping that is similar to an 8-year-old unsolved case of John with this new kidnapping. Will the cops be able to get the kidnapper? will John gets justice? The answer to these question is plot of the movie.

Performances:

A powerful story with powerful dialogues. Extraordinary acting performances by all the actors of the film. Music is calm and very beautiful leading with ‘Kyun Re’. Each and every scene of the movie speaks even though there might be no dialogue but only expressions.

My view:

The Story moves with very slow pace but the performances will kept you on your toe till end. You might be able to know what is going to happen but still you are not sure and that is where movie becomes too good. It will be a painful reality ride but it shows what the families gone through after kidnapping to get justice.

He took a army to build a larger gate to get all orc army in the human real. Gul’dan organizes the orc clans into a conquering army called the Horde. Uniting to protect Azeroth from these hulking invaders are King Llane, the mighty warrior Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel) and the powerful wizard Medivh. As the two races collide, leaders from each side start to question if war is the only answer. The start of the war is the story of the movie.

Performances:

The story has power but there are very less power in the dialogues. The performances are on good. Action scenes are good. The cinematography and the animation looks beautiful throughout the movie.

My view:

The movie is much talkative. The first half is very less focused but second half recovered very well. Action sequences are good but 3D effects are less. The movie is two paced sometimes and that makes you loose interest till end.
